Empowering Youth & Women through ICTs

e-Merge Pakistan is a comprehensive program aimed at providing ICTs training and development to youth and women in Pakistan to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial skills. The program aims to bridge the digital divide by providing equitable access to ICTs education and technology tools for women and youth in Pakistan.

Objectives

  1. To improve the ICTs skills of women and youth in Pakistan.
  2. To enhance the employability of women and youth in Pakistan by providing them with relevant ICTs training.
  3. To encourage entrepreneurship among women and youth in Pakistan by equipping them with the necessary ICTs skills and knowledge.
  4. To promote gender equality and reduce the digital divide in Pakistan by providing equitable access to ICTs education and technology tools.

Program Components

  1. ICTs Training: e-Merge Pakistan will offer comprehensive ICTs training programs to youth and women in Pakistan. The training will cover a wide range of topics, including basic computer skills, digital literacy, software applications, and programming languages.
  2. Entrepreneurship Development: The program will provide entrepreneurship development training to participants, including business planning, financial management, and marketing.
  3. Mentorship and Coaching: e-Merge Pakistan will provide mentorship and coaching to program participants to help them develop their skills and achieve their goals. Mentors and coaches will be selected from industry professionals with relevant experience.
  4. Internship and Job Placement: The program will also provide internship and job placement opportunities to participants. e-Merge Pakistan will partner with businesses and organizations to offer these opportunities to program graduates.
  5. Community Engagement: The program will engage with the local community to promote the benefits of ICTs education and training. This will include outreach programs, community events, and social media campaigns.

Program Duration

The e-Merge Pakistan program will run for 12 months. Participants will attend training sessions and workshops, receive mentorship and coaching, and participate in internship and job placement opportunities.

Program Evaluation

The e-Merge Pakistan program is evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Number of participants enrolled in the program.
  2. Participant satisfaction with the program.
  3. Number of participants who complete the program.
  4. Job placement and entrepreneurship success rates of program graduates.

  1. Microsoft Office Suite: Participants should be trained on how to use Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  2. Windows Operating System: Participants should be taught how to navigate the Windows environment, including managing files and folders, using the Control Panel, and customizing settings.
  3. Microsoft Teams: This collaboration platform can be included in the training program to teach participants how to create and manage teams, schedule meetings, and collaborate on documents.
  4. SharePoint: This platform can be included to teach participants how to manage documents and files, create sites and lists, and collaborate with others.
  5. OneDrive: Participants should be trained on how to use OneDrive to store and share files, as well as synchronize files between devices.
  6. PowerApps: This tool can be included in the training program to teach participants how to create custom business applications without the need for coding.
  7. Power BI: Participants should be trained on how to use Power BI to create interactive reports and dashboards for data analysis.
  8. Microsoft Dynamics 365: This platform can be included to teach participants how to manage customer relationships, sales, and marketing activities.
  9. Microsoft Azure: Participants can be trained on how to use Microsoft Azure to build and deploy cloud-based applications and services.
  10. Microsoft Visual Studio: This tool can be included in the training program to teach participants how to develop applications using various programming languages, including C++, C#, and Python.
  11. Microsoft 365 Administration:This training program covers the technical aspects of Microsoft 365 administration, including managing user accounts, configuring security settings, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  12. On-Premises Microsoft Servers set-up and deployment: This training program covers the technical aspects of setting up and deploying on-premises Microsoft servers, including installing and configuring operating systems, managing storage, and implementing security solutions.
  13. Microsoft Security Solutions: This training program covers the technical aspects of Microsoft security solutions, including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Azure Active Directory. It includes topics such as threat management, device management, identity management, and access management.
  1. Introduction to Social Media Platforms: Participants will learn about the different social media platforms that can be used for business, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
  2. Creating a Business Profile: Participants will learn how to create an effective business profile on social media platforms, including how to choose the right profile picture and cover photo, write an engaging bio, and optimize the profile for search engines.
  3. Content Creation: Participants will learn how to create engaging and effective content for social media platforms, including how to write compelling captions, take high-quality photos and videos, and design graphics that grab attention.
  4. Social Media Advertising: Participants will learn how to use social media advertising to reach a wider audience, including how to create effective ads, target the right audience, and measure the success of the campaign.
  5. Analytics and Insights: Participants will learn how to use social media analytics and insights to measure the success of their social media campaigns, including how to track engagement, reach, and conversions.
  6. Community Management: Participants will learn how to manage their social media communities effectively, including how to respond to comments and messages, engage with followers, and handle negative feedback.
  7. Influencer Marketing: Participants will learn how to use influencer marketing to promote their products or services, including how to identify the right influencers, negotiate partnerships, and measure the success of the campaign.
  8. Social Media Strategy: Participants will learn how to develop a social media strategy that aligns with their business goals, including how to define their target audience, choose the right social media platforms, and create a content calendar.

  1. Introduction to Graphic Design: Participants will learn the fundamentals of graphic design, including color theory, typography, layout, and composition.
  2. Adobe Creative Suite: Participants will be trained on how to use Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, to create professional-quality designs for print and digital media.
  3. Logo Design: Participants will learn how to create logos that represent a brand’s identity, including how to choose the right color, font, and style for the brand.
  4. Branding and Identity Design: Participants will learn how to develop a consistent brand identity across various media, including business cards, websites, and social media profiles.
  5. Digital Design: Participants will learn how to design for digital media, including websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms.
  6. Print Design: Participants will learn how to design for print media, including brochures, flyers, posters, and business cards.
  7. Motion Graphics: Participants will learn how to create engaging motion graphics for video, including titles, lower thirds, and other visual effects.
  8. User Interface (UI) Design: Participants will learn how to design effective user interfaces for digital products, including websites and mobile apps, that are intuitive and user-friendly.

Success Stories

Our Impact

As part of our mission to empower individuals, we trained 20 individuals to use Upwork, a freelance marketplace platform. We provided them with guidance and support on how to create a strong profile, bid on projects, and negotiate rates with clients. We also provided them with resources on how to improve their skills and build their portfolio. With our assistance, they were able to secure projects and gradually build their client base. They now earn anywhere between $500 to $20,000 per month, depending on their skills and experience. We are proud to have played a part in their journey towards financial independence.

We provided guidance and support to 30 individuals who were struggling to find suitable job openings. We assisted them in creating impactful LinkedIn profiles, navigating job search engines like Indeed, and provided them with resources on how to improve their resumes, cover letters, and interview skills. With our support, they were able to secure multiple job offers in their desired fields. We are happy to have played a part in their success stories.

We recognized the growing demand for professionals with technical skills in Microsoft 365 Administration and Security. We provided 42 training sessions and resources to individuals to help them understand the technical aspects of Microsoft 365 Administration and Security. We guided them on how to manage user accounts, configure security settings, and troubleshoot technical issues. With our support, individuals were able to acquire technical skills in Microsoft 365 Administration and Security and secure jobs in their desired fields.

We provided 36 training sessions and resources to individuals to help them understand the technical aspects of Microsoft Azure Administration. We guided them on how to deploy and manage virtual machines, create and manage storage accounts, and configure virtual networks. With our support, individuals were able to acquire technical skills in Microsoft Azure Administration and secure jobs in their desired fields.

We provided training sessions for Microsoft and Google certifications, including Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, and Google Cloud Certified – Associate Cloud Engineer to 6 trainees. We guided trainees on how to prepare for certification exams and provided them with practice tests and study materials. With our support, individuals were able to pass the certification exams and obtain their certifications. They were able to secure jobs in their desired fields and are now thriving in their careers. We are proud to have played a part in their success stories.
